  Yemen, IAEA discuss cooperation fields

Secretary-General of the National Committee for Atomic Energy, Dr. Mohamed Moqbel al-Hada'a discussed in the Austrian capital Vienna, with the Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency Mr.Yukiya Amalo aspects of technical cooperation between Yemen and the Agency topped by supporting activities of anti-cancer. 

During the meeting the two parties discussed implemented projects in anti-cancer field including cancer radiation treatment center in Aden, support provided in the filed of agricultural crops improvement and energy activities, and the desire of Yemen to double size of the technical assistance provided by IAEA, particularly in combating cancer and the training of Yemeni cadres in the relevant areas. 

For his part, Mr. Amalo expressed satisfaction with the level of cooperation between IAEA and Yemen , and the Agency's readiness to double the size of the projects implemented in Yemen and national capacity-building of Yemen in the areas of nuclear medicine and energy. 

Mr. Amano looked forward to Yemen 's participation in the International Scientific Forum on Cancer, organized by the IAEA in September in Vienna . 

At the end of the meeting, Dr. al-Hada'a thanked the IAEA Director General on its support to Yemen .
