The head of the team for Yemen's accession into the World Trade Organization Hartmut Röben arrived in Yemen on Sunday.

Robin will hold talks with Yemeni officials that will focus on special issues of the accession as well as steps to be taken to finalize short-term negotiations in this regard.

Yemen applied for WTO membership in 2000. It has held negotiations with many of the organization's members and is exerting major efforts to make improvements in its industrial and trade sector and streamline related laws. saba
